Scott D. Miller, MD Proudly Sponsors Amplify Decatur

Dr. Scott Miller is again sponsoring Amplify Decatur–a three-day concert series that raises funds and awareness for Decatur Cooperative Ministry. The concert series will be held June 17 – 19 in Decatur.

“I’ve had the opportunity to support Amplify and Decatur Cooperative Ministry for several years,” said Dr. Miller. “They are great organizations making real differences in people’s lives.”

Decatur Cooperative Ministry works to prevent and alleviate homelessness in Decatur and DeKalb County. Amplify My Community, the organizers of the event, produce fundraising concerts throughout the Southeast to benefit community organizations addressing local needs in the areas of poverty and homelessness.

The highlight of the concert series will be the Amplify Decatur Music Festival, to be held Saturday, June 18 from 5-11 p.m. on the downtown Decatur square.

The twice-Grammy-nominated band The Milk Carton Kids are co-headlining with the alternative Bluegrass band Elephant Revival. Penny & Sparrow and Eliot Bronson are also performing.

There is also a free festival on the 18th with more great music from noon – 3 p.m., including The Bitteroots, The Dammages, Kristen Englenz, and Magic Birds. And three nights of music at Eddie’s Attic, Friday, June 17 – Sunday, June 19.

There will be food trucks, craft beer, and great weather–plus access to Decatur’s award winning restaurant and bar scene.
