Saturday, June 18: A Great Day to Have Fun and Give Back

There are many reasons why I’m proud of my associations with ProstAware, chief among them being our shared commitment to supporting the communities where we live, work, and play.

And isn’t it sweet when you can do good and have a good time in the process?!

If you’re like me, you’ll be excited about these two events on Saturday, June 18. I hope to see you there!

The Dash4Dad

The Zero Prostate Cancer Dash4Dad features a 5K run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program. A long time fan favorite in the Atlanta radio market, Rhubard Jones, will serve as the emcee of the event. Home Depot will be providing a free Kids’ Workshop so the little ones can build a special Father’s Day gift, and the Krispy Kreme cruiser will be there with free donuts for everyone!

The funds raised from the Dash4Dad are invested around the country to provide research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing, and educate men and families about prostate cancer.

The Amplify Decatur Music Festival

The Amplify Decatur Music Festival is happening this Saturday, June 18 from 5-11 p.m. on the downtown Decatur square.

You’ll love the music, the atmosphere, the food trucks, the craft beer, and the weather–it’s going to be 85 and sunny!

The twice-Grammy-nominated band The Milk Carton Kids are co-headlining with the alternative Bluegrass band Elephant Revival. Penny & Sparrow and Eliot Bronson are also performing. Plus there’s a free festival with more great music from noon – 3 p.m.

Full information and tickets are available at AmplifyDecatur.org

See you there!
